The Tales of Beedle the Bard...read it or not?

As a Harry Potter series fan I have to read anything remotely related or relevant to the stories. In this book I was surprised to see that J.K.R. had commentary after each story from Albus Dumbledore. He explains how each story affected the wizarding world. This commentary is a good insight into more of Harry Potters wizarding worlds lore. The stories are unique compaired to the childhood stories I am use to and therefor i find them plausable to the series. This book is not a nessisary read inorder to understand the Harry Potter books but a good addition.

Twilight the movie...is it good enough?

The movie Twilight had young girls from every walk of life completely captivated! Or perhaps it was the Twilight series and a cast of pretty faces that drew them in? I also wanted nothing more but to see this movie because the first book of the series, of which this movie is from, is the best of the books in my opinion. I had very high expectations going into this movie.
That being said, I believe that the move was too artsy, or tried to be, and seemed rushed in the Directing and Editing proses. Many scenes were too slow and some scenes unnecessary where others were left out all together that i felt were key. The characters in my opinion were not the best choices compared to the books. The school kids, the main character Bella's friends, were over the top, immature, and didn't fit the stereotypes of the books. The cast of vampires were with some good effort matched and just "OK" but not favorably. Too much makeup and poor special effects is why I came to the conclusion that the movie was rushed as to keep the popular books audiences young minds fresh with the stories. I do however think that if I had not read the books first I would have like this movie a bit more. In all it is not a bad movie and still worth seeing and then maybe seeing it once more to study it closer in comparison to the book.
